Minnesota Public Works
In Minnesota, a mechanic's lien on public works projects is not available. Subcontractors and suppliers can file suit on a payment bond for projects greater than $100,000. Notice for payment bonds must be given within 120 days of project completion. Suit must be filed within 1 year of project completion.
